MVFW : The First Metaverse Fashion Week

Well, it finally happened ! The very first Metaverse Fashion Week took place between March 24th  and March 27th  and it’s exactly what you imagined.

MVFW

Displayed on Decentraland, one of the leaders in virtual lands platforms, powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Fifty brands presented on the platform’s Luxury Fashion District modelled on the Avenue Montaigne in Paris including Paco Rabane and Roberto Cavalli.

While IRL Fashion Weeks around the globe focus solely on the clothes, the metaverse version goes about and beyond to give you a greater experience than that, building a whole fashion universe ! Indeed, in addition to show and presentations, attendees are invited to live concerts, stores openings, after parties and film screenings with the possibilities purchase clothes straight from the digital catwalk.

All in all – and while this is just a beginning -  MVFW’s experience has been quite complete with shopping at a Selfridge flagship store proposing immersive experiences with Paco Rabane, Tommy Hilfiger and Etro, NFT and physical pieces from within the Decentraland store from digital-oriented brands such as The Fabricant or CSM’s Scarlett Yang & Kid Super making their crypto clothing debut and after parties (minus the open bar of the IRL version) featuring shoppable drops or an actual show during the party like KnownOrigin did.

Finally, to make the experience even more attractive to the more sceptical minds, expert panels in the field of digital fashion, NFTs, Web3 and the future of metaverse took place at CashLabsHQ and Boson Protocol
