CUT-OUT: THE MADNESS OF CUTTING

Show off your skin next summer! Cut-outs are back with a vengeance. It's high time you embraced this trend: the cut-out garment that shows the skin without revealing too much.

Popular on social networks, with celebrities and fashion designers alike, new graphic cut-outs break up body-hugging daywear and eveningwear. Tummies, chests and backs are exposed in bold, graphic, sculptural silhouettes.

Prominently featured on the catwalks since 2022, the cut-out is back next summer, reshaping the map of semi-nude looks after the décolleté, the halter top, the shorts or the crop-top. Cutting fabric into garments is intended to be versatile: in fact, there seem to be as many possibilities as the fabric allows. Tops, dresses and pants reveal parts of the body in an elegant way, making them the object of every desire.

Most brands play the asymmetry card, revealing a shoulder, a hip, the shoulder blade... But it's just as much about symmetry, with precise work around the bust. A sensual cut that reveals just what's needed, without falling into vulgarity.

The only limit: keep enough fabric for the garment to hold!

This semi-nudity embraces Ester Manas's body-positive movement, with its deliberately plump bodies.

The cut-out can be worn day or night. By day, the cut-out adds an ultra-modern, graphic touch to your look. It can be simple, on an everyday piece: a top revealing the collarbones, jeans with small cut-outs on the hips.

The Mugler x H&M collection sets the example. Dare to wear cut-outs every day!
