Louvre Couture: When fashion meets art history

The exhibition “LOUVRE COUTURE. Objets d'art, objets de mode” highlights the links between art and fashion through a selection of 65 contemporary silhouettes and 30 accessories, presented in dialogue with masterpieces from the Louvre's Objets d'art department.

Exploring the history of decorative styles, craftsmanship and ornament, the exhibition highlights the mutual influence of art and fashion, from Byzantium to the Second Empire.

This project offers an unprecedented encounter between the museum's collections and contemporary creation, while paying tribute to fashion figures who have enriched the Louvre's collections.

The exhibition runs from January 24 to July 21, 2025 at the Pyramide du Louvre, Paris.
