VIVIENNE WESTWOOD X NANA

The meeting between Vivienne Westwood and the cult manga Nana gives birth to a collection that celebrates both Japanese punk spirit and the rebellious heritage of the British designer.
Inspired by the two heroines created by Ai Yazawa, the capsule blends the house’s iconic pieces with visual references taken directly from the series. Tartans, corsets, pearls, leather and both romantic and rock silhouettes coexist in a universe where fashion and storytelling merge.

This collaboration is rooted in a long standing connection.
Ai Yazawa has often depicted in Nana the clothes she actually owned, especially Westwood creations that shaped the visual identity of the character Nana Osaki.
The capsule brings these symbols back with impressive fidelity. The red tartan mini skirt, the reinterpreted Puppy corset, the emblematic jewellery and pieces inspired by Westwood archives create a direct link between real world fashion and the manga’s aesthetic.

The launch met with immediate success, confirming the enormous cultural impact of Nana on a generation devoted to romantic punk codes and early two thousand Japanese fashion.
The collection stands as a vibrant tribute to a work that has marked international pop culture while highlighting the modernity and continued relevance of Vivienne Westwood in today’s fashion landscape.
