A light in a bottle!
After several wonderful fragrances, Louis Vuitton is back with a touch of light: LVERS! The new sun-kissed fragrance by Pharrell Williams and Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
A premeditated concept...
In June 2023, Pharrell Williams announced his LVERS concept. A project synonymous with light and union. The term also echoes Mr. Williams' childhood in Virginia: “Virginia is For Lovers” and the famous roots of our capital of love.
“When you're given a mission like the one Louis Vuitton gave me, you inevitably think that the sun is shining on you, you're in the spotlight,” said Pharrell Williams in an interview with Vogue.
A fragrance... for the sun?
The ultimate goal of this bottle is to render light in a liquid state. Perfuming with light is now possible. This idea gives the fragrance a unique and original dimension.
“The theme of sunlight, which illuminated Pharrell's first Pont Neuf fashion show in June 2023, inspired us to translate photosynthesis into fragrance,” explains Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the renowned perfumer and creator of this creation.
A fashion show that left its mark, and characteristics that we'll find again in this famous fragrance. The bottle contains a duo of bergamot-ginger and notes of cedar, galbanum, sandalwood and gum-resin.
And the release date?
You'll be able to buy this original concept on June 19! The brand is offering leather goods and accessories. As you can see from the photo, the three-bottle set with Damouflage motif will be available.
What will you do when the sun shines on you?
According to an interview between Vogue and renowned perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, this was the first question Pharrell Williams asked when he joined the brand. It's an original way of transposing light, and the designer makes us understand it through this project.
"Our source of inspiration is diverse, and our universal presence is undisputed. Our mission is to reinvent the discourse of luxury, making it tangible, highly creative, and capturing the essence of our times,” emphasizes Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
Light, synonymous with life and embellishment, is the main theme and what we must remember about this project. A fragrance that gives you life and allure.
To conclude:
The House has been firmly rooted in the world of perfume for many years. Our artistic director has respected all the brand's values and skills through the various projects revealed since his arrival.
“We've shared a common passion for beauty, the Maison and its values for 170 years: modernity, creativity, innovation and sophistication.” Jacques Cavalier Belletrud.
