Lanificio Raphael Wins a New Label

The history of RAPHAEL’s wool mill began in 1972 when Pierluigi Fileppo gained great experience as a textile designer in other wool mills in the area. He decided to start his own business with the desire to freely express his creativity and that is how Lanificio RAPHAEL was born. Now, it is a family business with Pierluigi’s two sons : Franco and Gianluca, and his grand daughters : Claudia and Paola, as they continue the legacy while still respecting the ancient family tradition.

Based in Valsessera, this small town in northern Italy has a very long and uninterrupted wool tradition. The company  is still producing their clothing fabrics with various qualities of wool, cashmere, alpaca, angora, mohair, silks and cottons.

The enhancement of territory and its natural resources have always been fundamental points within the company’s mission, as well as reducing environmental impact such as the use of clean energy deriving from solar panels and using natural materials for the production.

RAPHAEL already has FSC, GRS, GOTS, R.W.S, ZQ and Nativa certificates. They gained another one yesterday. They're proud to have received the GOTS-GRS-RWS-NPF certification on Monday september 6 2021.
