ReviWool®: the new low-impact virgin wool

Manteco® celebrates 80 years at Première Vision Paris!

The leading Italian company in premium textiles and the wool circular economy since 1943 brought the "Manteco® Circular Economy Experience" to the Première Vision Paris show, from July 4 to 6, 2023.

Visitors discovered a circular, low-impact process for creating textiles.

The family-owned company, particularly committed to circular fashion, has developed a number of eco-responsible projects, including its own sustainable wool brands: MWool®, a recycled wool, and most recently ReviWool®, a new high-end virgin wool with low environmental impact, a project they presented at the Première Vision Paris trade show in early July.

ReviWool® is an extra-fine, recyclable wool that perfectly represents their zero-waste philosophy. It is produced responsibly, from fibers lost during the virgin wool purification process. This new wool is also recyclable at the end of its life.

Manteco® assures us that ReviWool® has all the natural characteristics of virgin wool: "it is soft, breathable, elastic, crease-resistant, odor- and stain-resistant, thermo-regulating, fire- and UV-resistant".

It specifically establishes the use of the ISO 14040 series of standards for the development of Type III environmental declarations and corresponding programs.

ReviWool® wool has a 65.6% reduced impact on climate change, a 65.5% reduced impact on water use and a 65.6% reduced impact on total energy consumption.

ReviWool® also complies with the Manteco® animal welfare standard, in line with ITWO (International Wool Textile Organization) guidelines. ReviWool® can also be RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified: a voluntary standard covering the welfare of sheep and the management of the land on which they graze.
