MONCLER X ROC NATION BY JAY-Z

The famous high-end winter clothing brand, Moncler, is enriching its catalog with a new artistic collaboration: as part of its Genius program, it is presenting a collection in partnership with Roc Nation, the label run by rapper and producer Jay-Z.

Launched in 2018, Moncler Genius is a program designed by the brand to boost its collaborations with multidisciplinary artists. Alicia Keys, Rick Owens, Pharrell Williams have already taken part in this initiative. Now it's the turn of Jay-Z and his Roc Nation label to join the project.

Announced on social networks on January 24, this collaboration between Remo Ruffini's brand and the American rapper goes beyond a simple co-creation. "Moncler x Roc Nation designed by JAY-Z embodies limitless creativity, blending experience and ambition from shared but varied interests. A collection and manifesto demonstrating that genius is omnipresent," reads the brand's official website.

The collection includes around twenty pieces with a distinct streetwear style: a reversible down jacket, a leather jacket, as well as sweatshirts, accessories and logo T-shirts. Prices range from 250 to 4500 euros.

The collection is complemented by a video clip conceived as a dreamlike advertisement: "directed by Irish video artists Páraic and Kevin McGloughlin, the film draws a visual parallel between mountain climbing and urban climbing, with alpine landscapes juxtaposed with striking shots of JAY-Z and Roc Nation's New York," describes the press release.
