MAISON ALAÏA OPENS ITS FLAGSHIP IN BEIJING

Maison Alaïa reaches a major milestone in its international development with the opening of its first flagship store in China, located in the sought after Taikoo Li Sanlitun district in Beijing.
This emblematic address marks a turning point in the brand’s presence across Asia, placing Alaïa at the heart of one of the capital’s most influential luxury and fashion hubs.
The opening aligns with a broader global expansion strategy and reflects the growing interest of Chinese consumers in the house’s sculptural and minimalist aesthetic.

The two storey boutique was conceived through close collaboration between creative director Pieter Mulier and Swedish architecture studio Halleroed.
Together they translated the founding principles of the house, sensuality radical purity and sculptural form, into a distinctive architectural language centred on marble.
The Carrara marble façade appears as a monolithic surface punctuated by rounded openings that reinterpret Alaïa’s signature perforated motifs.
Inside organic lines interact with geometric shapes to create a refined and contemporary spatial experience.

The interior layout reflects the identity of the house while responding to local expectations.
The ground floor highlights leather goods and accessory craftsmanship, while the upper level presents ready to wear collections in a more intimate setting.
With this opening in Beijing, Alaïa not only strengthens its physical presence in China but also demonstrates its ability to adapt its visual and architectural language to a new urban context beyond its historic locations.
