Love Fashion: In Search of Myself
From April 16 to June 22, 2025, the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery will host the exhibition Love Fashion: In Search of Myself, a major event designed by the prestigious Kyoto Costume Institute. This exhibition explores the profound connection between fashion and emotions, particularly love, as a driving force for creation, self-representation, and identity expression.
Through a thoughtfully designed scenography, Love Fashion offers a sensitive journey that blends historical archives with contemporary creations. Visitors will discover iconic pieces by Jonathan Anderson, Miuccia Prada, Alexander McQueen, Demna, and Rei Kawakubo, all of whom have explored the idea of clothing as an intimate and personal language.
The exhibition goes beyond celebrating the beauty of garments: it invites reflection on how fashion helps to assert individuality, explore contradictions, or express often invisible emotions.
An elegant and introspective immersion into clothing culture, not to be missed by fashion and contemporary art enthusiasts.
