The Off-White Store in Miami's Design District

Located at 127 NE 41 Street in Miami, in the heart of the growing Design District, Off-White's 262-square-meters flagship store was designed by founder Virgil Abloh in collaboration with architects from AMO. Off-White's store features a number of distinct aesthetic markings, including an opaque polycarbonate façade. Through this outer layer, Off-White's new visual cue (a pair of hands reaching upward) is visible above a bright orange "X", which is another familiar signature of the brand.

The flagship store offers a physical space for its customers to interact with the brand more easily. This space consists of a movable floor-to-ceiling wall that serves as a secondary façade, inviting the public into the brand's perimeter. In this way, the public space is created to accommodate a variety of functions, such as art exhibits, mini-gateways and musical performances. The flexible second floor plan, creates moments of more intimate and exclusive engagement with Off-White’s world.

Inside the store, the floors are made of concrete, which prevents the interior from overheating given the hot temperatures found in Miami. The shelves are made of stainless steel, the rails are in black marquina and white marble. The walls are made of corrugated metal and the ceiling panels are made out of mesh. The central staircase is in electric blue, while other furniture in the store are equipped with wheels, so that they can be moved around more easily, because flexibility is key for Off-White.
