Lilacell lace from LILA, is an innovation made with yarns containing botanically sourced Lyocell TENCEL™ fibers. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, are derived from renewable wood raw materials in sustainably managed forests and are produced with an environmentally friendly production process.
The eco-energy advantage of this process is that the water used in production is recycled and the solvent is reused with a recovery rate of more than 99%. This production process received the European Environmental Award in the category "Sustainable Development Technology Award" from the European Commission (2000).
In addition, the smooth surfaces of TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers offer a natural soft touch, giving the textile a luxurious sheen. Natural comfort is taken to a new level with botanically derived TENCEL ™ fibers, as they are used in the contents of Lilacell laces and help maintain environmental balance by using TENCEL ™ Lyocell fibers. The TENCEL™ fiber used in Lilacell lace production is derived from sustainable wood resources, it is harvested from certified sources and monitored in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Lenzing Wood and Pulp policy. They follow an environmentally friendly production process that converts wood pulp into high resource efficiency, and creates low environmental impact cellulosic fibers.
