KENZO X FUTURA 2000
The house of Kenzo, under the creative direction of Nigo, unveils a bold collaboration with legendary New York graffiti artist Futura 2000, showcased during the FW25 Men’s show in Paris. This partnership, rooted in a long-standing friendship dating back to the 1990s, blends Kenzo’s iconic floral aesthetics with Futura’s signature atomic motif in a striking visual fusion.
The collection features a complete wardrobe (bombers, coach jackets, wide-leg trousers, shirts, and knits) where graffiti prints are layered onto urban silhouettes. Kenzo’s Boke flower is reinterpreted with angular lines, and the “Kenzo Paris” logo transforms into raw hand-drawn calligraphy. Laser-printed designs of Mount Fuji and vintage train imagery appear on denim and tweed, referencing Japanese nostalgia, while kimono collars and pachinko-inspired patterns add layered storytelling.
Accessories expand the collection’s creative scope, including bags adorned with Futura’s handwritten messages like “fragile” in Japanese, tote bags styled like graph paper, bottle holders, and modern takes on traditional furoshiki wraps. Shot by photographer Jiro Konami in Futura’s New York studio, the campaign bridges Tokyo, Paris, and New York, capturing a hybrid energy where graffiti’s raw power meets the structured elegance of contemporary fashion.
