FRAGONARD OPENS ITS MUSEUM OF FASHION AND COSTUME IN ARLES
The historic French house Fragonard, known for its perfumes and cultural heritage initiatives, has opened the new Musée de la Mode et du Costume Fragonard at 16 Rue de la Calade in Arles.
Housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century mansion, the museum officially opened on July 6, 2025, after five years of renovation.
Its mission is to highlight the rich clothing traditions of Provence and Arles.
The exhibition features over 10,000 garments and accessories from the 18th to the 20th centuries, drawn from the private collections of Hélène Costa and Magali Pascal.
The scenography, designed by Studio KO, emphasizes warm tones of sand and bronze and presents fashion as a cultural and identity-bearing art form.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. between July 6, 2025, and January 4, 2026, the museum offers tickets at €10 and a reduced rate of €8 for students and Arles residents.
This new cultural space reinforces Fragonard’s commitment to celebrating regional heritage while fostering dialogue between tradition, fashion, and contemporary creation.
