DIESEL X LEE

Diesel has just launched a new project in favor of eco-responsible fashion, teaming up with iconic brand Lee for an unprecedented collaboration. Together, they are combining their expertise to create a capsule collection, the profits from which will be donated to charity.

Since their beginnings, Diesel and Lee have gained worldwide renown for their jeans, which have been worn by the anonymous and the famous alike, becoming symbols of popular culture.

Since its creation in 1978, the Italian company Diesel has established itself as a benchmark in denim. For its part, Lee, founded in 1889 on the other side of the Atlantic, has also made denim its emblem.

This union between two major competitors is above all intended to serve a noble cause. The collaboration is part of Diesel's DIESELOVES program, which involves creating limited-edition capsule collections in partnership with major brands, using recycled clothing. An eco-responsible initiative to counter overproduction and textile waste.

What sets this collaboration apart is that all profits from this collection will be donated to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) via the OTB Foundation, an NGO affiliated to the Diesel group. This foundation works closely with the UNHCR on philanthropic initiatives around the world.

This first collection with Lee is just the beginning of a series of initiatives by Diesel. It reinvents the concept of collaboration while adopting a positive vision of the use of production surpluses, which can no longer be legally destroyed and for which brands have a responsibility. Dieseloves is therefore a fusion of original branded clothing recycling and charity.

These pieces, already available in very limited quantities on the Diesel website, will go on sale online on both brands' platforms in March, with prices ranging from 300 to 350 euros.

Each pair of Dieseloves Lee jeans is made from fabrics sourced from the two brands' respective surpluses. Combining Diesel denim on the front and Lee denim on the back, or vice versa, these jeans, of which there are 3,000 in this limited edition, are designed and handcrafted to celebrate the differences in length and size, giving each piece its own unique character.
