For 70 years, the Italian-born family business has been crafting quality fabrics, today recognised as being compatible with environmental conservation.
A historic firm
It all began in 1946 in the small town of Prato in Italy, where the Picchi family founded a little textile manufacturing workshop. Three generations and countless challenges later, the factory has considerably expanded, continually banking on the future while maintaining what has made it successful for the past seven decades. Its know-how, its passion for products made in Italy and the influence of the Tuscan Renaissance are all sources of inspiration that Picchi draws on season after season, translating them into its fabrics that are designed, produced and sent all over the world.
With a heightened sense of detail, the textile collections are thus made from high-quality raw materials while paying particular attention to the finishes, all thanks to state-of-the-art equipment. The aim? Creating products with an enhanced aesthetic to bring to life pieces of unparalleled perfection.
Commitments for the future
Another characteristic of the Picchi collections: their capacity to anticipate the fashion industry’s needs and trends, subtly combining modernity and heritage. Some of their fabrics have thus been chosen by Promostyl for the Kids Autumn/Winter 21-22 book.
Picchi also rapidly grasped the importance of preserving our planet and delivering products that correspond to this new consumer concern. The firm has thus obtained the Global Recycled Standard label, working on recycled fibres with low water and energy consumption as well as non-toxic dyeing processes. Picchi also has the Oeko-Tex label and is hoping to receive the RWS very shortly. For a more environmentally-friendly future.
