BARBOUR X FENG CHEN WANG

Barbour joins forces with designer Feng Chen Wang for a project that brings together British heritage and contemporary storytelling.
Revealed in early 2026, the collaboration is connected to Lunar New Year celebrations and draws inspiration from the symbolism of the horse, a figure associated with movement, freedom and endurance.
The collection revisits several iconic Barbour pieces through the designer’s conceptual and personal lens, known for linking identity, culture and clothing.

The silhouettes focus on waxed and quilted jackets reworked through reconstructed volumes, graphic details and narrative motifs drawn from Asian mythology.
The colour palette combines deep tones, symbolic reds and natural shades, while Barbour’s traditional materials are placed in dialogue with a more experimental design approach.
Shirts, graphic tops and accessories complete a wardrobe conceived as a visual narrative rather than a conventional seasonal offering.

For Feng Chen Wang, the project carries a personal dimension, referencing her early encounters with Barbour jackets during her years of study in London.
The meeting of the two worlds avoids spectacle in favour of cultural coherence, where clothing becomes a carrier of memory and transmission.
The collaboration offers a thoughtful reading of workwear, rooted in heritage while remaining open to an international fashion audience attentive to meaning as much as form.
