BALMAIN X DISNEY

To mark the 30th anniversary of the legendary animated film The Lion King, Balmain and Disney unveil an exclusive collection.
Under the artistic direction of Olivier Rousteing, this unique collaboration includes ready-to-wear pieces and accessories inspired by the film’s characters and themes.

Rousteing, a big fan of the film since its release in 1994, wanted to capture the essence and magic of the story through innovative designs.
The collection, entitled “Disney x Balmain: The Lion King Collection”, incorporates African craftsmanship with contributions from three emerging artists: Nika Mtwana, Enfant Precoce and Cassius Khumalo, each offering an artistic interpretation of the film.

To announce this collection, a short film shot in Africa by Femi Oladigbolu presents the creations in majestic landscapes, accompanied by a revisited Lion King soundtrack.
The models parade in natural settings, embodying the spirit of the film.

Available from July 8, this capsule marks a new milestone for Balmain, already known for its collaborations with entertainment entities such as Stranger Things and Pokémon.
The limited-edition collection will be available in Balmain boutiques and on their website.
