Part of the LVMH group, Patou launches its first upcycling collection in collaboration with Kitesy Martin Studio!

What is Patou?

It's a house founded in 1914 by Jean Patou, whose primary aim was to liberate women from the clothing standards to which they were forced to adapt. His travels were a great source of inspiration for him, and he began to create a first collection of women's sportswear, as well as corset-free dresses and shorter skirts. He wanted to break down women's dress codes and give them a touch of freedom. A touch that celebrities like Louise Brooks and Josephine Baker fell in love with.

The birth of “Patou Upcycling”...

Patou Upcycling is a platform that partners with young designers to reimagine and give new life to the brand's existing stock. Indeed, the brand is committed to providing creative and responsible pieces. That's why the brand uses unused fabrics to transform them into unique, must-have pieces. An excellent way to minimize waste.

Kitesy Martin Studio x Patou

To bring this project to fruition, Patou is collaborating with French designer Kitesy Martin, founder of Kitesy Martin Studio.

“Kitesy's unique vision and desire to create pieces that respect the environment resonate deeply with our values. Together, we've worked on a collection of five unique pieces for those who value both creativity and sustainability,” says the brand.

After working for several luxury houses such as Balenciaga, Balmain and Lacoste, Kitesy Martin created her own brand of upcycled jewelry in 2018. With over ten years' experience, she puts her interest in art and pop culture to the fore, creating a style that mixes genres and materials.

The result

For this colorful collaboration, our designers concocted four unique pieces that reflect the values of eco-responsibility. With the use of organic cotton, tank tops, t-shirts, caps and bags in three colors. The result of using Patou overstocks is sure to please everyone!
