A drop of water that deflates the vase!
The brand-new Belgian brand Home Studyo has launched its new collection: Blow Up, a range of atypical and colorful household objects!
Blow Up comes from the English language and means “to make explode”, which gives us a hint as to the nature of these objects. The ceramic pieces are made in Portugal.
As we can see from the photos, Mathieu Van Damme and Esther Noben, the brand’s creators, wanted to take us back to the famous plastic tools we use at the beach. The colors add a summery touch that makes us think of the sun.
This new brand, which is rather affordable, offers bright, high-quality objects, and will dress up your room thanks to their originality that will capture anyone’s attention.
In their collection: vases, flowerpots or carafes… But what attracts our curiosity is, on the one hand, the shape of these objects, a bouncy shape, and on the other hand, the desire in each of us to take the object in hand in order to associate touch with sight. However, as mentioned above, these are ceramic objects, so there’s none of the tenderness we expect when we look at these one-of-a-kind pieces.
Blow Up gives a playful, cheerful look to the design; it’s possible to have fun while decorating your living room. What’s more, the fact that it comes in a range of bright colors makes you want to treat yourself to the whole collection.
This design, which will also be featured in our Influence Design Book, is a “curvy” design. Indeed, with its rounded shapes, it immediately brings a cute and benevolent aspect to the object. An inspiration from the 2000s that is gradually making a comeback.
Blow Up, a collection with a hell of a kick… isn’t it?
