Issey Miyake opens a new boutique in Paris !
After closing in Paris's Rue Royale, the Japanese brand is moving into the Parisian Golden Triangle at 28 Rue François Ier in the 8th arrondissement.
This is no stranger to luxury brands, where you'll find Valentino, Balanciaga, Thierry Mugler and Prada.
Now it's Issey Myake's turn to inaugurate the opening of its new flagship in Paris!
"Flagship" is an English term designed to reinforce a brand's image through elements such as location, design and size.
The Japanese brand has taken the place of the Europe1 radio headquarters, which had been at this location since 1955, and this is the first time a store has been set up there. With a bright, 360-square-meter, completely renovated interior, the Japanese brand will raise its profile.
For this new opening, novelty must be at its peak! To achieve this, Tokujin Yoshioka, the brand's designer, proposed a futuristic layout blending modernity and purity. The space has two floors, with light and colorful touches, a contrast that emphasizes the futuristic aspect. Our designer knows his trade inside out, and has showcased his talent on several occasions at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
"The historic French architecture of the 19th century merges here with orange, which symbolizes the sun" Tokujin Yoshioka.
And it's on February 26, during Fashion Week, that our boutique will see the light of day! You'll find all the Issey Miyake highlights, the A-POC Able collection, the Pleats Please pleated collection, as well as their famous Bao Bao geometric bags and other iconic accessories..
The brand continues to expand around the world, with 277 points of sale. You'll find it in Asia, Japan, America, New York, Europe, London, Milan and Paris at Boulevard Saint-Germain, Galeries LaFayette and Printemps Hausman..
