YAMATO OPENS A POP-UP DEDICATED TO KIMONOS

Yamato inaugurates its very first pop-up dedicated to kimonos in Paris, in the dynamic Marais district. Located at 1-3, place de Thorigny (3rd arrondissement), between the Carnavalet museum and Picasso's cubist masterpieces, this ephemeral space will host the famous Tokyo house for six months. A first foray outside Japan for this brand, founded in 1917 and renowned for its superb kimonos with XXL sleeves, symbols of traditional Japanese elegance.

From January 18 to June 30, this pop-up will also feature Yamato's sister brands, Kimono by Nadeshiko and Y. & Sons, all under the direction of Takayuki Yajima. This international expansion aims to conquer the French market with a selection of refined pieces, ranging in price from 370 to 1,300 euros.

In addition to kimonos, this short-lived store will offer a range of accessories including bobs, scarves, geta and zori (traditional sandals), as well as braided bags made from plant fibers and round fans. An opportunity for the French public to discover the diversity and elegance of Japanese fashion.
