THE FENDI X POKEMON CAPSULE COLLECTION UNVEILS THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON
Fendi collaborates with Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and unveils a new capsule collection featuring 3 fan-favorite dragon-type Pokémon.
The franchise's outstanding collaboration with prestigious brands such as Fendi and the FRGMT label, headed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, is testament to its remarkable expansion in the luxury sector. Do cartoons seem to be the new favorites of this sophisticated industry?
Scheduled for launch on January 4, this collaboration features a series of FENDI pieces revisited by the Japanese designer. Part of the "Friends of Fendi" project, a collaborative initiative in which the brand teams up with various designers for unique creations, the capsule features some dragon-like Pokémon on FENDI icons such as the Peekaboo bag and the Baguette bag.
Each of these items has also been subtly stamped with the distinctive "FRGMT" stamp by Hiroshi Fujiwara. Complementing the redesigned bags, the collection includes a range of silk t-shirts, hoodies and pyjamas. Some designs will even be digitized and integrated into the Pokémon Go mobile application. Although this is the first collaboration between Fendi and Pokémon, the franchise already seems to be a regular in the luxury world.
