Sneakers made with coffee, is it possible?
This is the challenge of the "zero waste" brand: Zèta Shoes.
A brand with an authentic concept that offers recyclable, recycled and vegan sneakers made from grapes, corn or coffee grounds.
Unparalleled transparency
"Today, 70% of the world's sneaker production is still made in Asia, using highly polluting materials like tanned leather, plastic or polyester." - Zèta Shoes
Since 2020, Zèta Shoes has aimed to make sustainable shoes without using raw materials.
For the "zero waste" manufacturing of the sneakers, Zèta exclusively selects quality reclaimed and recycled materials like grape, corn and even coffee waste.
As the environment is at the heart of their values, the brand makes sure to have the lowest possible environmental impact. Zèta shares as much as possible about the origin of the materials, the composition, and the manufacturing of their products.
The eco-responsible sneakers are designed in Bordeaux (France) and made in Portugal.
Grapes as a vegan alternative to animal leather
The sneakers of the Alpha series are made from grape waste from the wine production (skin, seeds, residues).
The waste is crushed, then mixed with grape seed oil and water-based polyurethane. The final material is flexible with a grainy appearance.
Corn in our sneakers
As an alternative to fossil fuels, Zèta uses an innovative material made from corn waste. Corn is used in the creation of Alpha Velcro sneakers.
Zèta x Nespresso ®
After a year of research, Zèta shakes up the shoe industry by transforming coffee grounds into sneakers!
The brand is creating a very limited capsule collection of sneakers called RE:GROUND.
Made from 80% recycled and revalorized materials, it integrates Nespresso ® coffee grounds in a vegan coffee leather, but also in its outer and inner soles.
