The "Homme" Concept Store Experience
The "Homme" boutique located in Pristina, Kosovo, is not just a store, but a unique experience of an urban environment in a highly commercial space. Homme, is a concept store known for its various brands of men's clothing. It was designed by the architects from Maden Group, who designed a unique design for this store, as they gave it distinct aesthetic signs. For example, the high ceilings give the feeling of space and at the same time, expose the structure and ventilation of the lighting systems of the space.
The royal blue staircase, surrounded by metal wires, connects the two floors of the store. The floors are covered with ceramic tiles, the walls are in a solid gray color, while the ceiling is made of corrugated sheets. To further emphasize the urban identity of the store, scaffoldings were used to display the clothes. A three meter high mirror mounted on one of the scaffolds is also a visual marker of the store. Another "urban" element of the store is its bar, which is made of black glass bricks. One can easily have a drink while looking at what clothes to buy!
The back of the store opens to an indoor terrace which is yet another surprise added to the whole "shopping" experience. The indoor terrace is dressed with opaque curtains and colorful chairs and tables. The entire design of the store was conceived to reinforce the identity and image of the Homme concept store, and to make the visitor forget that they are in a shopping center.
