The Perrin Weaving, a Family Business
Perrin weaving is at the top national rank of silk production. Five generations have succeeded at the head of the company, building its reputation on the success of its twills, crepes, cashmeres, satins and muslins. In the 19th century, Alexandre Perrin was working in weaving in Grand-Lemps; his son Eugène, developed a passion for natural silk and upon his return from the United States in 1929, he founded The Perrin Weaving company. Today, Jean-Laurent, Jean-Hugues and Sébastien Perrin combine brilliant success with audacity and originality, expertise and creativity, proximity and service, innovation and quality, to ensure the durability and excellence of the family business.
The Perrin Weaving company are extremely conscious of their responsibilities as well as their sanitary and environmental actions, they are totally committed to their employees, their suppliers, subcontractors and their final consumers. In order to meet the most demanding and strict standards; they thus benefit from the Oeko-Tex label on all their mono and bi-stretch silk and polyamide articles and are GOTS certified for all of their 100% silk fabrics. A major player in weaving in the Rhône-Alpes region, they have succeeded in bringing together a unique network of talents, techniques, and technologies to bring to life the taste for creation and aim for excellence in their many markets.
The weaving company have a specificity that distinguishes them from their competitors: they have an integrated design office, which, in artistic partnership, carries out all their customer projects, from concept to completion. A true creative bubble, the design office intervenes on all fronts, at the request of its customers: from the collection plan to the development of the fabrics, to the theme, the design and its coloring. In close contact with the studios and artistic directors of the fashion and luxury industries, they respond to all requests, even the most "crazy" and unusual one, and are involved in all the challenges that are proposed to them. Whether it is a question of creating, for example, a heavy 100% silk twill with the look and feel of wool or a fabric with a lacquered look, close to the sight of leather... They always follow their mentra: "We look for the thread, weave it, we take care of the finishing touches and accompany our customers until they are completely satisfied".
