A pioneer in organic cotton production, Sanko Textile relies on age-old know-how to offer top-quality textiles. We can see their work in the Spring/Summer 2021 Kids Trend Book with the LOUD THEME presenting one of the fabrics produced by Sanko.
Distinctive know-how
The international leader in premium-quality textile fibres, Sanko Textile traces its roots back to Turkey in the 1900s, when its founder Sani Konukoglu opened his small firm with only a few machines and a singular vision of textile production.
Passionate, transparent and sustainable, as the decades went by the little family business became one of the country’s top-performing industrial groups. The company’s priorities include dedicated customer service and a creative sense of innovation, both striving to provide a bespoke offering allowing every client to obtain a unique product tailored to their needs.
Mastering the art of organic cotton
What makes the Turkish firm stand out today, however, is its production capacity and expertise when it comes to organic cotton. Founded in 2000, Sanko Textile’s innovation centre has worked to develop new yarns and fabrics, winning the first certification for its organic cotton in 2002, thereby becoming a pioneer in the field.
In 2010, the brand launched Zeugma, an innovative cotton that absorbs moisture and dries very quickly, without having chemicals incorporated into its yarns. This environmentally aware production falls in line with the company’s goals of standing out from the competition and offering competitive products in the exacting ready-to-wear arena.
