COS X TABATA SHIBORI

The new collaboration between COS and Kazuki Tabata celebrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship through a limited edition summer collection.

Comprising 14 pieces, this exclusive capsule embodies the fusion of modern design and the age-old technique of shibori, a resistance-dyeing method that creates unique patterns by binding, folding and dyeing the fabric.

For this collection, COS and Tabata have chosen a soothing color palette including soft blue, orange and brown, evoking a sense of timelessness and calm. The pieces include womenswear, menswear and accessories, combining Tabata’s distinctive style with COS’s minimalist aesthetic.

The collection’s fabrics and textures are perfect for summer getaways, offering lightweight, layering options. Among the techniques used, sekka shibori stands out on a delicate silk scarf, while tesuji shibori adds a unique touch to garments made from sustainable materials such as recycled nylon and Tencel™ Lyocell.
