Dior wowed its audience with an incredible fashion show on Monday January 22. The event took place in the gardens of the Rodin Museum for their spring-summer 2024 haute couture collection.

Maria Grazia used her talent to wow the audience, which included such celebrities as Rihanna, Glenn Close and Anya Taylor.

On the catwalk, some 59 silhouettes paraded their magnificent outfits, the theme revolving around elegance accompanied by natural and colorful hues (yellow, red...).quiet luxury is the watchword throughout this collection, with beige looks and belted styles, chic is at its peak !

For this show, Artistic Director Maria Grazia called on Isabella Ducrot, an Italian writer and visual artist, to present her collection. Isabella Ducrot called her work Big Aura, a concept made up of 23 gigantic dresses on white backgrounds that adorn the room and resemble the silhouettes of Ottoman sultans.

"I remember the first time I saw the ceremonial clothes of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire on display at the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul. I was deeply struck by their size, they were disproportionate and revealed the sovereign indifference of the court tailors: they had indeed taken no account of the normal anatomy of the human being" Isabella Ducrot

To pay homage to the famous Christian Dior, the famous "La Cigale" dress (see photo) dating from 1952 and designed by our very own Christian Dior was the source of inspiration for the various looks at these shows. The "Bar" jacket was also revisited, with a rounder, thicker neckline.

The presence of rhinestones and patterns is blatant, with floral motifs, sequins, feathers and silk.

Inspired by the 70s and 80s, elegance was the main theme of this show. Many of the styles presented echo our latest Spring Summer women's book. In fact, this forecast book features the warm, neutral hues of quiet luxury, with beige fabrics, asymmetrical cuts and more. Floral prints add that summery touch that you'll also find here.

As mentioned above, the show was a hotbed of celebrities! Rihanna, Saul Nanni and even Carla Bruni. Once again, Dior made its mark with a show that lived up to the expectations of many !
