2021 UGG THE COMEBACK
Iconic in the 2000s, thanks to the influence of the non-less famous Oprah Winfrey, then disliked in the following years, because they are omnipresent and too much copied, the UGG are ultra-comfortable furry boots. But as fashion is an eternal restart, they have reappeared for several seasons and notably this year with a new vision, ultra-modern and eccentric, thanks to the British designer MattyBovan who, by collaborating with UGG for his new collection presented at the London Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2022, has created the event and aroused a huge enthusiasm among fashion lovers.
MattyBovan, best known for creating joyful and eccentric fashion with his vivid colors, maxi silhouettes, innovative cuts and patterns becomes the winner of the International Woolmark Prize and the Karl Lagerfeld Prize for Innovation in 2021. A graduate of the knitwear course at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s School, the young designer and his ultra-creative and eccentric universe continued to build on his success at London Fashion Week.
During MattyBovan's show at London Fashion Week, a real show, hyper spectacular and daring, all eyes were on the shoes of the models who were wearing UGGs, with models that were all more offbeat, eccentric and whimsical than the others. MattyBovan captured the imagination of fashion lovers by collaborating with the Californian brand and offering an incredible collection with the "Super Fluff" sandals dyed in every possible color, the "Oh Fluffita" sandals customized with bows and the "Classic Ultra Mini" boots cut in such a way that they are real little lace-up slippers. They will make us all want to slip our pretty manicured feet into the softness and warmth of the furry UGGs.
