The Italian housewares and kitchenware brand has unveiled a new take on tableware in collaboration with Virgil Abloh. The designer has always been interested in areas other than clothing and design was his favorite subject.

The collaboration between Abloh and Alessi began over a year ago when the designer approached Alberto Alessi about working together. The designer called on his design studio, Alaska Alaska, to create cutlery with a new vision of traditional cutlery inspired by industrial objects.

The cutlery is made in Italy from 18/10 stainless steel, the set consists of a knife, a fork, a spoon, and, most importantly, a carabiner to attach all three, either as part of a new way of setting the table or to attach the utensils to oneself.

This collection combines the design of camping cutlery as well as DIY tools. The designer's primary reference is the spanner, which explains the square edges of the spoon, the tines of the fork divided in two, and the geometrically perforated handles.
