On the hunt for new talent, Promostyl has decided to highlight the work of young Chinese designers who attracted our attention at the shows and presentations during the latest Shanghai Fashion Week for the SS19 collection.
What do they have in common? They present a new stylistic expression inspired by Asian traditions, a new modernity or an unmistakably urban attitude.
This week, our article focuses more specifically on the Showroom presentations that took place. Their names are Mack Zheng, Yuul Yie, Zeahan and Chenguang Wang and each presents their vision of a modern ready-to-wear wardrobe, whether for men or women. Minimalism revisited, upcycling with a couture feel, high-end sportswear: each one delivers an innovative interpretation of tomorrow’s wardrobe that, incidentally, is every bit as good as their European or American counterparts.
Others focus on crafting shoes in ethereal lines, while some expertly affirm their preference for leather goods through highly desirable handbag collections.
Something that is sure to turn our eyes towards this Oriental empire, to which we will be devoting a second article, this time on the shows.
