Noto Botanics, the diversity-oriented brand

Gloria Noto, started her career in the cosmetics industry as a professional makeup artist, she worked with photographers like Harley Weir for magazine covers such as Vogue before she decided to create her own brand. In 2016, she created Noto Botanics, a brand of simple, effective and very high quality cosmetics. The brand is also 100 % vegan and not tested on animals. Since its beginning, the brand has quickly captured the hearts of beauty lovers and cosmetic minimalists, not only for its natural, unisex formulas and rich colors, but also for its mission to create real change. Noto wanted to create a line that represented diversity and inclusion among queer people.

The majority of Noto Botanics’ products are gender neutral. For example, the products scents are uni-sex and the multi-use oils can be used on what the brand calls your "everywhere hair," such as pubic hair, underarm hair and any other hair on your body. The founder explains that for her, "personal identity should be fun, radical, unique and protective of the environment and our communities". That is why Noto Botanics’ products are handmade in small batches. As for the packaging, the bottles are made of glass, the plastics are made from recycled materials and the boxes are made from recycled biodegradable materials.
