The boots

For autumn/winter 2023-2024, fashion houses and designers are lining up with tall boots. Wide boots, biker boots, santiags or pointed-toe boots, street style personalities have appropriated the trend with panache.

The biker core trend is all about biker boots.

They add a quirky edge to a classy outfit. It's a dose of cool that's being embraced by everyone this season, especially the hottest brand of the moment: Miu Miu, which has already come up with a pair of timeless, iconic biker boots that celebrities are snapping up. Biker boots inject absolute nonchalance into any look.

Wide Boots, on the other hand, sublimate the look of an outfit.

Sometimes pleated to the extreme, this boot style is very much in demand this season. A very graphic model that we particularly appreciate for its effortless, sexy aesthetic. These boots emphasize a loose set of legs, with a cut that affirms the silhouette.

While pointy-toe boots remain classic, they still add just as much effect to the silhouette.

The pointed toe accentuates and elongates the line, while adding a quiet luxury touch to the outfit. For boots, but also for pumps, kitten heels, ballerinas or mules. One of them beats all the others: the ballerina, which has been revisited by Prada, Miu Miu and Zimmerman.

Ballerinas

This year's star, the ballerina, is back with a vengeance in our wardrobes. After a long period of putting them off, they're now making their way into our daily lives, where they've become an essential part of our wardrobe.

The ballet core trend includes the desirability of wearing clothes and accessories borrowed from the world of dance, in the city. Round-toed, square-toed or pointed, ballet flats match all your stockings. Sometimes adorned with ribbons, ballerinas add a soft, fairy-tale touch to your outfit. They are also available with straps for street-style personalities. As an accompaniment, opt for lace to add even more elegance, or mesh gaiters for added comfort.

PS: I'm particularly fond of Maison Margiela's Tabi ballerinas...

Upside Down

When socks become shoes... or when shoes become socks?

We can't quite figure out what the look is all about, but what we can say for sure is that this trend stands out thanks to its total discrepancy with the rest of the outfit. It's unusual to slip tights over pumps, or to wear flip-flops with socks. A picturesque discomfort that appeals to personalities who love a certain originality. And it works! Designers and couturiers are coming up with new, unusual combinations that are highly appreciated by the public. A look that attracts attention, while remaining distinguished.
