BURBERRY UNVEILS THE FIRST IMAGES OF THEIR WINTER 2019 COLLECTION
Riccardo Tisci has just presented the first silhouettes of their winter 2019 collection. Ready-to-wear garments and evening wear are mixed with iconic Burberry outerwear; they are reinterpreted with futuristic codes. This pre-collection, inspired by the archives of the British brand are resolutely turned towards the future, and announce a prolific era for Tisci, at the head of the british fashion house.
H&M ANNOUNCED THE END OF THE CHEAP MONDAY BRAND
Fashion is going through a period of profound change resulting from the ongoing digital transformation. ‘Cheap Monday’, which was acquired in 2008 by the H & M group, was been experiencing a rough time in sales and profits. The Swedish group have just announced the end of the brand which will take effect this December 31, via the closure of their e-shop and their store in London, which is scheduled to be closed down in June 2019.
COMME DES GARÇONS LAUNCHES THE ‘HAPPY HOLIDAYS’ CAPSULE COLLECTION
As usual, designer Rei Kawakubo uses the most popular designers of the moment to launch her capsule collection for the end of the year celebrations. Scheduled for December 5, Alessandro Michele, Riccardo Tisci, Maison Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier, Walter Van Beirendonck, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Marine Green and Stüssy have revisited an iconic product: Burberry’s scarf, Jean-Paul Gaultier’s marinière top, as well as Gucci’s bag.
