DIOR CRUISE EN 2025 : A SCOTTISH ODE TO ELEGANCE

In a vibrant tribute to its historic ties with Scotland, Dior unveils its Cruise 2025 collection, taking guests on a captivating journey through the country's verdant landscapes and rich history.

Inspired by Christian Dior's legendary runway shows of the 1950s, artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri reinvents the codes of women's fashion with an aesthetic that is both retro and contemporary.

The event begins with a total immersion in Scottish nature, with a landing in Edinburgh followed by a journey through the forests of Perthshire. Guests are transported back in time as they relive the magical moments when Christian Dior himself presented his collections in these very venues over 70 years ago. The Gleneagles Hotel ballroom, unchanged since then, becomes the stage for a fashion renaissance in which Dior's iconic pieces are brought to life.

Set in the gardens of Drummond Castle, the models paraded in a symphony of tartan, rain boots and revisited kilts. Maria Grazia Chiuri pays homage to Scottish symbols such as the thistle through delicate embroidery and emblematic motifs, fusing tradition and modernity in bold silhouettes.

The collection also explores themes of femininity and emancipation through historical references such as the English suffragettes, represented by the color purple, and Scottish icons such as Queen Mary Stuart. Dresses with balloon sleeves, corsets and biker boots mingle with leather accents and medieval details, creating a powerful yet resolutely modern aesthetic.

Maria Grazia Chiuri also celebrates local craftsmanship by collaborating with Scottish designers and artisans, such as weavers from the Hebrides archipelago and designer Samantha McCoach of the Le Kilt label. This fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design results in a collection rich in textures and contrasts, where velvet and lace blend harmoniously with tartan and denim.

Through this collection, Dior offers its customers an immersive experience of Scottish history and culture, while affirming its commitment to innovation and creativity. Cruise 2025 is more than just a fashion event; it's a celebration of the timeless elegance and bold vision of the House of Dior.
