Brrr° has created fabrics that are going to change our ever hotter summers. Thanks to high-performance technology, the Atlanta-based company has invented clothing that can cool body temperature by 2°C. The end result is well-being and comfort, along with energy savings and an eco-friendly benefit.
A triple chill effect
Thanks to patented technology combining natural minerals, active wicking and rapid drying to create a triple chill effect, brrr° fabrics provide freshness all day long. Accordingly, the perspiration and heat given off by the body are wicked away, making it possible to lower the body’s temperature by 2°C overall. The technology is directly embedded in the structure of the fabric’s yarn and therefore does not diminish over time or with repeated washing, for a lasting feeling of comfort.
Good for the planet
This technology opens up new avenues for fashion, offering a way to combat energy overconsumption. During heatwaves, brrr° clothing can allow consumers to use less air conditioning by wearing cooling garments instead. While other companies are also launching cooling fabrics onto the market, applications on other media – such as cooling objects – are already being considered.
